Snow condition

Only 2 stars because no descent into the valley is possible below approx. 1800 mh on the south side. Even higher on the sunny side, many ridges are already heavily snowed out. On the shaded side, however, there was still plenty of snow. Hardly any of the precipitation that fell further east in the Tyrolean lowlands on Friday reached the inner Alps.

Snow quality

Just 2 stars because there was still some good snow at various altitudes (around 2600 m and around 2000 m). Otherwise it was very blown away, with and without a lid and sometimes thawed and froze again.

Risks

According to LLB a 2. If you are early enough, you can trade the risk well. I wouldn't be there too late. Avalanches, some of them very large, can be seen everywhere on sunny slopes.

It really needs snow again or maybe less storm for the firn to be good. At the moment there is only a little good snow that you have to search for.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
