Dust on crust! Still a fun day in the Lizum thanks to a firm base!

Snow condition
The rain has taken away some of the absolute snow depth. And the descents into the valley to Axams are now only possible to a limited extent (watch out, there is only a very thin layer of snow on the forest paths and you might unexpectedly end up on the road...). There is still little snow in the ski area, but you can ski everywhere down to the valley station. Unfortunately, sharks are still an issue and the snow cover on the sunny slopes is still quite thin. The base has improved considerably, even if it looks quite thin, as it has become quite compact due to the rain.
Snow quality
The fresh snow (about 5cm) was cold and fluffy! Unfortunately, the base was still very hard at the beginning. Therefore, off-piste skiing was only good when you found an untracked area. In the afternoon, the sun was already quite strong and softened the snow. By 15:00, everything was already looking quite spring-like.
Risks
According to LLB 2, level 3 above 2400 m. In the ski area, some loose snow slides were visible in the afternoon. But nothing really big. However, there were still quite large avalanches everywhere from the warm phase at the beginning of the week. On the shaded side, the LLB still refers to the old snow problem, which should also be taken into account on the highest slopes of the Lizum.
Overall impression
The fresh snow itself didn't make for a top freeride day. With a bit of warming up and in the right places, it was still quite fun. The really positive thing was that a base has now formed on which the next snowfall could be really fun
