Actually, only on the north side high up (over 2000 m altitude) is there a lot of snow. But everywhere again much less than about 2 weeks ago. And also very little snow compared to the long-term average. The very warm weather of the last week and the rain of the last 3 days have done a great job. There was probably only some fresh snow on Sat/Sun night and hardly more than a few cm here.

Wet, wet, wet. Unfortunately, very wet snow even at 2300 m altitude. Because it wasn't very deep, it was still just rideable, but simply wet through and through. With higher temperatures and a bit of sunshine during the day, it got even worse.

Risks

According to LLB 2->3: Hardly any visibility and wet snow are not conducive to freeride adventures anyway. In addition, we observed many medium to large wet snow avalanches in the variant area of the ski resort.

Unfortunately, the weather and snow didn't play ball. With the traditional drink and leftover meal at the Hoadl Haus, the end of the season was still worth a trip to the Lizum, as it is every year.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
