From PP to 1,700 good snow conditions with 30cm. The snow of the previous weeks has settled massively, 1700m to 2100m only cosmetic fresh snow approx. 10 cm, then 15-20cm of fresh snow from tonight. Had a harmless ground contact, there are terrain traps such as open streams or stones not covered in snow. Summit flanks in the foehn or west wind are blown off.

Below 2100m there is not enough fresh snow for real skiing pleasure, above that the still light and today dry fresh snow is fun and dusty.

Risks

A popular 2, certainly also correct for Sellrain. No gliding snow mouths sighted, but blown-in spots with releasable drift snow clearly recognizable. Some harmless sluff in the steep terrain.

Overall impression

Nice tour, especially after I left the uphill ski race track of the numerous Innsbruck speed walkers. The cirque of the insignificant foothill then provided beautiful powder turns. Below 2,100m, however, I could clearly feel the crusty old snow and some technique training. All in all: fine.
