Snow condition
Descent into the valley is possible, but only because the village lies at 2000m. And this only applies to the north side. It is very difficult to avoid contact with rocks in the terrain. Actually, you should leave it alone in this snow situation. It would still be OK at the beginning of October, but not enough for mid-December. Nothing on the south side. Therefore only 1 star.
Snow quality
We really had to search to find some good snow between no snow and stones in a gully. Otherwise quite hard. Often with a lid. Simply no fun for riding.
Risks
According to the LLB on the main ridge above 2500m level 3. 2000m to 2800m in the area where we were traveling, simply too little snow to be dangerous. But generally a lot of wind in it! But sometimes there were smaller areas where we didn't have a good feeling. If these had been bigger, we wouldn't have gone in there. A lot of build-up transformation in the snowpack.
Overall impression
Even if the gully was quite good and a day in the fresh air is always good: if you don't have any Christmas presents yet, go shopping. You won't miss out on anything in the Northern Alps. That's simply not enough for mid-December and quite a material battle...
