Overall, not much snow in Sellrain. From Praxmar you can start with touring skis, but the snow cover is hard and does not cover the stones everywhere. Only above 2500 m you can still find powder snow (approx. 20 cm loose cover)

Now we urgently need fresh snow. Most of the snow has blown away near the crest. Only in wind-protected areas above 2500 m is it really good for skiing. Below that, a cover with a hard crust has formed. All in all, the ski tour on the Zischgeles has already been skied quite a lot.

Risks

According to the LLB level 3, we encountered old self-releasing drift snow on the north side. Two snow slabs have discharged there. Quite a safe ski tour overall today. However, caution is always advised on the last steep slope.

The Zischgeles as a 3000m peak is always worth a ski tour. Super panorama from the summit. The descent was very rewarding for the first 500 m. Around 15 tourers in total on the Zischgeles today. It felt like 30-50 on the Lampsenspitze. Despite the high starting point at 1700 m above sea level, not much snow in Sellrain.
