The new formula for ski touring in the foothills of the Alps is "5+5"! 5 cm of hardened base and 5 cm of powdered sugar make a shark tank of the extra class.

It is doubtful whether avalanches are even possible given the snow conditions. The problem of old snow, which also exists in the region, could be neglected here in any case, as the slopes were skied every time it snowed.
Overall impression
And when you think there's nothing left, a north-facing slope comes along somewhere... I started today with no ambition and a bit of hope for a real ski touring feeling, but then I found a few nice slopes and was glad I didn't have to resort to plan B with a piste.
