The route de Poursollet from La Morte is free up to 1500m, so there is also enough snow in the forest up to this altitude, it has not snowed for two weeks, in the southern slopes there is a lack of snow even at higher altitudes.

Snow quality

The conditions have been spring-like since the beginning of last week until next Thursday. The snow on shady north-facing slopes is firm but grippy, e.g. in the Pas de la Vache, picture 2. South-facing slopes are best skied in the late afternoon, after which it becomes slushy, e.g. on the descent along the Ruisseau de Gueriment, picture 4.

Risks

Since it hasn't snowed for weeks, the northern slopes are also stable, which is unusual for this time of year, and in the afternoon snow slugs form on steep southern slopes, signs of possible wet snow avalanches.

Beautiful day trip of the CAF GI to the foot of the Taillefer in excellent weather and spring-like conditions.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
