Snow report Belledonne, 03/27/2018
Cime de la Jasse Couloirs
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
There is a lot of snow in the Belledonne. No comparison with last year. In any case, you can no longer determine the snow depth with the probe. Descent to the parking lot possible
Snow quality
Difficult to ride in all exposures. Much tracked or blown away. Still some powder in the north-facing couloirs. Rain and damp below 1500m
Risks
Increased risk of avalanches due to the onset of rain in the afternoon, especially at lower altitudes. There is a lot of sluff below the Dent de Bédina. Wet snow slides in the steeper couloirs are easy to trigger.
Overall impression
Alpine Taverse over the Cime de la Jasse from the Pouta lift of Les Sept Laux in rather adverse conditions. Powdery couloir descent rewards the 1.5 hours of scrambling
