Exposition

North North-Eas

Snow condition

2 von 5 Sterne
10 cm fresh snow

There is far too little at the bottom. In the forest it only goes from 1200, on open areas you can often ski all the way down. Despite the thin base, the compact layer of old snow protects quite well against sharks, but there were still a few cuts.

Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow

10 cm of fast, cold, fluffy powder on soft, brittle crust. At the bottom 5 cm of powder on ice and hard snow. Both interesting to ride, a bit tricky, but also fun. But it needs effort. The steep forest road in the lower section is rarely so fast.

Risks

No warning signs

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

With a favorable choice of route, it was quite stable today: little snow overall, a compact layer of old snow and then a very thin layer of fresh snow. Beware of damage from the ground.

Overall impression

Equal

Quite fun, fast (new) snow - unfortunately not enough. For reasons of time and mobility, I was out and about from home today and there's simply not enough at the bottom. It's good from about 1200m. You can still feel the layer of old snow there, but it's good for cushioning and you can hop around. It's bound to be good for the next 2 days too.
