Snow condition

3 von 5 Sterne
15 cm fresh snow

Just under three, because even at medium and higher altitudes there is now a bit of a chance, although you still have to be careful. Bad at the bottom, strong wind at the top!

Snow quality

Hard, pressed snow
Powder snow

The fresh snow is whipped around by the wind, making it very fine and very fast. Unfortunately, you can usually feel the more or less hard layer underneath, the one from the dump last week. It may be much better further up in very sheltered areas, but also more unpleasant overall, see below.

Risks

North-West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

Low at medium altitudes, as compact and little fresh snow. With the strong winds at the top, a lot was certainly transported.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Better

Nice afternoon in the storm-swept, dark winter forest at mid-altitude. Quite challenging riding through the fast powder and the still numerous obstacles, but at least there is now a compact base underneath. Later in the day there was a really heavy snowstorm. But it was cool overall. Now it needs more fresh, soft stuff on top.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
