Snow condition

1 von 5 Sterne
10 cm fresh snow

I would say 1-2 stars. But of course it's only possible where it was reasonably possible before the little bit of snow on Thu/Fri and that's not much. It has to be on the leeward and shady side and should be sheltered and only lightly tree-covered. Höfenstufe between 1400 and 1800 m. Nothing works above and below that.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow

The fresh snow is cold, fine blower - but only 10 cm... Below that it's either very hard or brittle and sometimes rough. It was quite noticeable and sometimes challenging (at least with rather slimmer and lighter skis). But in some flatter valleys it was quite cool, the pow runs fast and underneath it was a bit more stable.

Risks

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

It's harder to see rock and co. now, but it's only about 10 cm above it, so always be careful. The old snow layer is icy in the steep tw. I didn't see any wind signs in the relatively limited area. But there were elsewhere.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne
Equal

An okay morning in and around the small area. All in all, a bit too much hard old snow for my taste, but I had fun too. And at least it looks a bit more wintry again. It's just the same old song: we need more snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
