The approx. 20 cm of fresh snow covers the stones in the middle layers, so you really have to be careful at the beginning. The layer of old snow becomes more reliable from about 1400m on the shaded side. Overall, the snow conditions are clearly below average.
Snow quality
Unfortunately not quite ideal. Above the tree line, the influence of the wind is clearly noticeable and there are only a few passages that are really good. Further down there was very nice fluffy pow, but the very hard layer of old snow is noticeable everywhere. Overall, however, it was on the good side. And finally a bit of powder again, at least in sections.
Risks
Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)
Note the hidden sharks. Today, the unpleasant, strong gusty wind also caused a lot to be transported.
Overall impression
Nice winter feeling with powder, but unfortunately too much wind and at times pretty flat light. However, there were a few good turns.
