20 cm fresh snow
Variations of snow cover

10-20 cm of fresh snow, increasing according to altitude. Old snow cover is necessary, but the very compact 20 cm at 1200m is still quite sufficient. The higher altitudes are looking better again. The two snowfall days weren't earth-shattering, but it was enough for a nice refresh.

Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Very cool powder in the protected shaded slopes. Not really deep, but super fast and silky. Further down you can sometimes feel the hard layer of old snow and the sun and wind shouldn't get there.

Wind drifted snow

North-West

Intensity: low

Altitude: 1500 m – 1700 m

Risks

Diurnal warming
East

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

The main dangers are obstacles in the sometimes poor cover and a certain amount of drifting, especially Fri/Sat. The drift snow was also easily recognizable.

Overall impression

Worse

Great snow with nice wintry temperatures in the morning. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time, some of the high areas looked really good. Nevertheless, the powder further down was really fine and, thanks to the cold, also light and quite good for making tracks. Lonely tracks and absolute peace and quiet, what more could you want?

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
