Snow condition

15 cm fresh snow

Overall, we've been much less favored than just a few km further SE, in the Niedere Tauern, for example, forest and high terrain still don't work at all. You can only slide around on higher, but gentle and stoneless alpine meadows or pistes. But then at a much faster pace, the hard and compact layer of old snow prevents any foreign contact. There is still a lot missing.

Snow quality

Hard, pressed snow
Powder snow

15 cm of beautiful, cold powder on an unfortunately hard layer of old snow. Nice to ski, sometimes a bit rough.

Risks

Rockfall danger

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Too little snow for serious avalanche danger. The high altitudes are very rocky and swept away.

Overall impression

Equal

Every year it's the same... Despite very moderate amounts of snow, you're pretty stoked to finally be able to do something again ;) With at least a noticeable layer of powder, a ski buddy, acceptable visibility and no other people on our slope, it was really nice today! But: Need more snow!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
