Snow condition

Unfortunately, nothing works at the bottom. The forest only works at the very top in sparse larch stands, but you have to be careful there too. It should have got better in the high mountains, but rough terrain just doesn't work well yet. In terms of the date, however, it's of course ok, it was often much worse at that time.

Snow quality

The fresh snow is great, but not enough. You can clearly feel the sometimes softer, sometimes harder layer of hard snow and older tracks further down. Some of it is also wind-treated. There were also really fine, deeper patches, but you have to be prepared for suddenly changing conditions.

I was only just above the tree line, but you can also see some entanglements further down. Overall, however, there were rather smaller quantities here. You have to keep an eye out for sharks and the like.

Overall impression

Short morning tour in mostly treeless terrain. Overall on the better side in terms of snow, but unfortunately not enough. Some challenging riding due to small-scale changing conditions. Great moods and clouds. Tomorrow morning in shady areas certainly still good. We need more snow.
