Neuschnee, Sturm und Sonnenschein im Avers
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
It doesn't have much and the snow depth (up to approx. 100 cm) is very variable.) But quite sufficient if you don't want to go too fast. Be careful of hidden stones/rocks that are only slightly covered in snow and of the often almost completely blown-off ridges and crests.
Snow quality
There was just under 10 cm of fresh snow overnight (a little more at the top). This fresh snow fell in cold temperatures and with very little wind (generally very fluffy). Unfortunately, there was then a storm in the morning until the early afternoon with heavy drifts and drifts and corresponding effects on the snow quality. Therefore, the 3 stars are only valid for the slopes that were sufficiently downwind and even after the storm (which completely subsided in the afternoon), otherwise the snow quality was often poor: drifting snow of varying consistency, hard ice slabs, wind gnawing etc.
Risks
The storm caused fresh drifts and numerous drifting snow lenses, drifts, etc. With the exception of loose snow slides from sunny, rocky, steep terrain, there were no fresh descents to be observed.
Overall impression
The sun, the beautiful landscape and the slopes we found with decent snow and downhill conditions deserve a 3 (especially this winter!).
The crowds were also limited today (let's see what it's like on a weekend).
The potential here in Avers is basically brilliant and met our expectations. Even if the weather conditions are not ideal this winter.

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
