Hard, pressed snow

Above approx. 2,700 everything was heavily destroyed by the wind and partly blown off except for a hard layer on the ground. Where there is protection from the wind below approx. 2,700, a mix of everything, but still powdery in places. Mostly hard but nice and grippy, no broken snow, therefore quite passable to ski. There was no firn today due to the clouds.

Risks

South-West West North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Drift snow everywhere, of course, but seems to have settled well due to the warm temperatures. Older sliding snow avalanches on south-facing slopes

Equal

Great day on Piz Turba thanks to nice weather and pleasant temperatures. Not much in the way of snow around the Julier Pass - the wind was raging. The positive side: the snow surface is mostly hard, has good grip and is easy to ski.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
