Local 4 stars generally more like 3 as ridges are blown off and the snow falls victim to the sun faster than some would like.
Snow quality
The upper part of the descent was a bit blown out with wind slush, then super powder except for a few sun-exposed spots, up to the Rif Branca. 2500m below, slightly firn powder.
Risks
The snow is getting a little wetter every day and surface slides are becoming more frequent. The 1-2nd in the LLb is a bit drier, but in general it is good to estimate.
Overall impression
The tour was one of our highlights of this touring week and also a highlight of the season for a resident of the northern Alps. Unexpectedly good powder and great conditions, which are very "varied" locally
