Snow condition
Quite good for not even the middle of October, although you certainly wouldn't give it 2 stars in high winter. Glacier mostly snowed in (with 40-120cm of snow), descent just possible to the middle station. Yesterday there was 5cm of fresh snow above 2800m and 10cm above 3000m.
Snow quality
Quite a damp affair. Not tingly, but could be worse.
Risks
In extremely steep terrain, watch out for wet snow slides, but even there you only have to worry about the fresh snow, as the old snow has already been lying for a few months...
Overall impression
Weather & visibility were nothing, not great otherwise either, bonus star for acceptable conditions so early in the season. There's not really any terrain, of course.
