Snow condition
I haven't seen this much snow for a long time. Descent in the forest up to 700m possible without any problems.
Snow quality
Partly wind-affected but without a lid. Mostly fantastic silky powder!
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Altitude: 1600 m – 2100 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
The sinkholes in the karst landscape gave us a bit of respect as a terrain trap! The drift snow, on the other hand, was clearly visible, but fairly unbound and quite well connected to the layers below. We dug a snow profile and considered the summit slope to be okay.
Overall impression
I had already thought the day before that it might take longer. In the end it was 11 hours, but with sunset and we returned with headlamps. Skinning up four times pushed skins and bindings to their limits. However, the snow conditions were great, the weather bluebird and the landscape impressive. 4 stars! https://fatmap.com/routeid/3131902/mali-bogatin?fmid=cp
