On the north side there is enough snow from 900m. On the sunny side it starts a little higher at around 1200m. Very good snow conditions from 1500m and above that at 5-star level. The values of Sella Nevea with 4m seem realistic. Lots of snow even in extremely steep rocky terrain - little slippage.
Snow quality
Good spring conditions. North-facing side strongly set and grippy - good footing snow. Crampons recommended on the sunny side and good firn later on.
Risks
Very stable - only the warming during the course of the day in the sun should be noted. No major slides to be observed even from sunny climbing terrain. Optimal conditions for steep north-facing slopes.
Overall impression
Great cirques - steep, narrow gullies on Friday & Saturday. Sunday then another great firn tour.
