Snow condition
The snow conditions are not yet good enough for forest riding. Almost all of the bushes and trunks are not yet covered. The fresh snow has slightly covered most of the obstacles and you can only drive with the handbrake very much on
Snow quality
In the meantime, about 20 cm has been added on top. This is fluffy and light. The base underneath is still soft and easy to ride. We were on tour today and it was a good choice.
Risks
We felt safe, there were no noticeable cracks or slides. However, the snow is so light that it slides on its own on steep terrain.
Overall impression
Very good start and we are looking forward to tomorrow. The 50 to 100 cm in the next week are still needed and then we can get started
