Up to approx. 1,000 m it is ok on the shaded side. From the tree line it is very variable but acceptable except for exposed spots. On the sunny side, the snow is rapidly disappearing.

The change in the weather has once again produced all kinds of snow variations. We opted for mainly south-southeast-facing slopes and were rewarded with heavy powder. Windswept areas were softened by the sun and were great for skiing. On the shaded side, there was still heavy powder that was still dry. In total it is between 2-3 stars.

Risks

As the weather warmed up, everything settled well. The wind couldn't move much either. Haven't seen any new slides today. A few ground avalanches have come down from extremely steep sunny slopes (south-facing). Transitions from a little to a lot of snow and the old snow problem (>2200 on the north side) are certainly still the most dangerous.

Best ski touring weather made us forget the modest conditions. We started with few expectations and arrived back in the valley satisfied. The descent was much better than the conditions looked at the start.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
