Snow condition

After Bürserberg or Brand, you can only ski on artificial snow slopes. From approx. 1200 m, the snow cover grows rapidly. At approx. 1500 m there is more than enough in all expos. In the rear Brandnertal, you can still set off from the valley floor (e.g. towards Lünersee and Schesaplana).

Snow quality

Very early in the morning, a few descents are possible in softened terrain (below 1700 m and sunny). Above that you will find creme brulee. As the day warms up, it becomes boggy in all expos up to almost 2000m.

Risks

In the high mountains, the greatest dangers are transportation and, below 2500m, daily warming. A similar picture here. Many spontaneous descents and new descents from steep terrain sighted during the day. Defensive behavior is advisable. It is good to know which slopes are above you when ascending or descending.

Overall impression

The snow conditions above 1200-1300 m are still very good. With the cold and a corresponding amount of fresh snow, you can go powder skiing again.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
