Snow condition
The warmth of the last few weeks has eaten up a lot of snow. We ascended on the south side, from 1800m there was a closed snow cover. We were able to ski down to 200m before the parking lot.
Snow quality
We were hoping for firn. But the whole thing only froze together on the surface and became soft 5 minutes after the sun was on it. Lazy braking snow from top to bottom.
Risks
Realtively relaxed if you are not out for too long. Fresh cornice descents could be observed. An early start - a quick descent.
Overall impression
Tour can be ticked off under: Scenic charm. After a tour like this, you know that you don't stand a chance against the summer. Maybe we'll manage a few more glacier tours.
We abandoned our plan to continue due to the strong foehn wind and the gathering cloud cover.
