Snow condition
Above 1600 m is a good 2 stars. Below that it is 1 star. Descents across meadows into the valley are possible, but always with ground contact from approx. 1300m. Slopes on the shady side are significantly snowier than slopes exposed to the sun.
Snow quality
Nice and powdery on the shady side, just the way you want it. In sun-exposed areas, the snow is much heavier and will gradually build up a crust. All in all, there is still a lot of good quality snow.
Risks
Some ground avalanches and fishmouths are recognizable. Ground avalanches mainly seen on south-southeast slopes at altitudes from 1600 to 2200 m. Fishmouths mainly on the shaded side at approx. 2000 m. Fresh wind signs are not visible.
Overall impression
Were mainly out and about in the area today. The crowds are still missing. The LWL is favorable, but it still needs a few centimeters of snow to do more off-piste. Short runs are perfectly feasible. The icy temperatures guarantee plenty of powder snow and it could stay that way for a long time. The snow cannons are running at full speed.
