Snow report Brandnertal / Rätikon, 12/29/2017
Fluffy powder and sun ... what more could you want!!!

Overall impression
Snow condition
Everything below 1400m is still to be enjoyed with caution ... Some mouths slightly covered by snow and simply stones can easily be overlooked. But from about 1700m it gets really good, the ground is good and the firm pow (sometimes up to 30cm) convinces the freerider ;).
Snow quality
Very fluffy powder, but only from about 1600m further down there is some hard snow on south-facing slopes or rather heavier powder in the remaining areas. If you want to venture onto the piste, you'll find plenty of ripped spots.
Risks
A 3 was actually planned, but everything seemed pretty safe in Brand. There were hardly any drifts and in general it seems that a lot has happened in the last few weeks.
Overall impression
A great day, only somewhat diminished by the crowds. You had to queue for quite a long time at the lifts and the easily accessible powder areas were very quickly tracked out. But with a bit of hard work, you could still pick out one or two delicacies.
