Lunch break sprint - scary conditions
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
There is "snow", or what is left of it, down to about 1,000 or 1,100m. You can ski down to about 700m by force, but then without any consideration for the equipment.
Snow quality
Top: pimply old tracks and deep water channels, crusty, scary. Middle: at approx. 1,100m it became soft/ "firny" for approx. 50m at midday, but then immediately afterwards very sticky and slow. Bottom: creepy old snow/dirt mixture When fresh snow falls on the crust, it becomes very dangerous. The crust sounded hollow. There was almost something like a settling sound.
Risks
Whoever manages to trigger an avalanche below the tree line in that corner at the moment... Although nothing would surprise me at the moment.
Overall impression
Actually 1 star, but I only want to award it when the rain freezes on my glasses, I fall down, break my knuckles and the ambulance stops at the drive-in on the way to the hospital - and turns back again because the civilian forgot the ketchup. 2 stars because I was able to escape the stupid guard dog of a hut with "daring" jumps from one patch of snow to the next. And because a lunch break like this is still better than canteen food.
