Brauchbare Bedingungen zwischen Bregenzerwald und Großem Walsertal
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
It's getting there. We started at about 1,200m. The snow conditions are now good up to the tree line. However, you can still reach the bottom in some places (tree stumps, large stones). Slowly but surely it's whining on a high level. Above the tree line, the snow is heavily blown and the base is worse in places than below. Ridges are blown off and gullies are well filled.
Snow quality
We were too late. It was still usable on the ascent, but then it picked up on the descent. Up to the tree line, the snow was powdery but slightly damp, then it was capped. The snow is on a hard surface, but you don't notice it when you're skiing. Above the tree line, every turn was different and almost everything was there apart from slush. No real fun without ground visibility.
Risks
Tense, level 3. Below 1,200m, many fish mouths are visible and the snow has slid off the ground in many places. No danger signs were visible in the forest. However, the old snow cover is not ideal. Above the tree line, strong wind influence can be seen in all exposures. The ridges are blown off and the snow must have gone somewhere. The base is hard or non-existent. We missed out on a beautiful slope. But it also looked like a taut mousetrap.
Overall impression
Between two and three stars. We were too late and unfortunately no longer had a view of the ground. But since there was almost nothing going on and everything looked like winter, it was more like three stars. If you're in the right place at the right time, you can have a lot of fun in the corner at the moment - but only with the handbrake on! Pictures to follow
