Almost 40 cm of fresh snow fell overnight. The snow cover continued to increase during the day. The snow is wet and really stuck to the terrain. From around 1200m, the snow turned to rain by midday today. It is to be expected that the fresh snow will continue to be soaked in the coming hours.

The snow itself would have been great if only it wasn't so wet. Despite 120+ underfoot in places, it wasn't possible to float up. Backseating was the only solution. No real freeriding possible for me. In the flat/safe terrain, the snow was so thick that you got stuck.

Risks

Attention! The snow is heavy and very easy to release. Even on moderately steep terrain, small slides are easily triggered. You can see that at every corner. That was another reason why we quickly left the mountain again.

A day to forget, it could have been so good. But skiing was hardly possible for us today. Maybe someone else had more fun with it.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
