Everything is fine - all the usual descents are possible. The snow is holding up well in the cold. Only the rocks on steep slopes are still partly free.
Snow quality
Fine, sugary, light, very good. The cold has preserved the fresh snow from Monday/Tuesday very well. Exceptions are blown-off ridges and zones with strong wind influence, here the snow is hard or packed. The southern slopes also have a light cover.
Risks
The LLB has warned of drift snow and sliding snow avalanches today - we have seen exactly these danger patterns in the terrain. On the numerous south-facing meadow slopes in Damüls, there are some large cracks. There were also strong winds and drift snow packs, especially near the ridges. If you stayed out of these zones, the rest felt very safe.
Overall impression
So, let's work off the overtime at the end of the month. It was definitely worth it today! The cold has preserved the fresh snow from Monday perfectly. All areas that aren't affected by the sun or wind are soft as sugar and perfect.
