Firn und niemand geht hin ...

Snow condition
Above 1500 m there is still enough snow, below that it quickly becomes thin on the sunny side. The groomed (closed) west-facing forest descent is still possible on the sunny side down to the valley. On the shaded side, it is still possible to ski down to the valley. Many steep south-facing slopes have been cleared. A lot has melted but the base is good all the way down to the valley this winter.
Snow quality
Hard as a rock in the morning and then slowly softening as the sun went down. We started at 11:00 until the end of the lift. First the eastern slopes then the western slopes. Above 1600 m it never got boggy, even on the south side. I couldn't detect any complete soaking.
Risks
Observe the diurnal cycle. Safe in the morning. Avoid extremely steep south-facing slopes and cracks as well as fish mouths from the early afternoon. Especially below approx. 2000 m. Old wet snow avalanches can be seen.
Overall impression
Beautiful finish on Diedamskopf with firn runs all day long. There is practically nothing going on in the terrain and you can collect several 1000 meters of depth over the day. The wide slopes are ideal here. Unfortunately, that's the end of today.
