Bad for March. No reliable information is possible. Below 1400m there is no more snow in all expos. The snow situation varies depending on exposure and local surroundings. For example, the west side of the Kanisfluh is completely blown away. In contrast, descents from Ragazer Blanken towards Rossstelle are possible with a good choice of lines. 3 Tub tour is also possible. But there are not many reserves anywhere. Streams are open and terrain traps should not be underestimated. Locally, perfect conditions can prevail in open terrain. There is generally hardly any snow in the forest. On the sunny side, it would not go as far as Damüls without snowmaking. The descents must be assessed on site.

Typical early spring situation. The sun has power but is still flat. That's why there's powder on the snow side and on the sun side it turns into a sticky mass over the course of the day. Nevertheless, it is already T-shirt warm at 2000m. Overnight there was about 2-5 cm of fresh snow. In many places, this lies on a stable base. Perfect for riding without tracks until midday. Swampy on the sunny side from midday!

Risks

Relaxed. LWL 2 up to the tree line and below 1. The snow cover has regained its firmness due to the cold. At high altitudes, watch out for drift snow, which is very easy to recognize. Any transitions from a little to a lot of snow can be critical. A few very small loose snow slides were observed during the day.

This weekend, winter is driven away with the burning of the sparks. This year, this fits in perfectly with the change from meteorological winter to spring. The conditions are becoming more spring-like from week to week. This week, a short burst of cold air is set to follow. A drop in the ocean. A nice day with a few runs in the ski area. In the morning still with powder and in the afternoon in the slush or swamp. A few runs in the park in between.
