With the fresh snow, the situation at the entrance to the Bregenzerwald has changed significantly. Around 20 cm fell overnight. Towards the Rhine Valley only from 1000 m and towards the Bregenzerwald already from 700 m. Towards the summit, the snowfall increased to approx. 30 cm.

Snow quality

Widespread bound powder. Wet from 700 m and moderately fluffy from 1000 m up to 1500 m. Immediately heavy with sunshine. We were only on the east side.

Risks

The terrain was generally in the forest area. The snow is widely bound and in many places lies directly on the warm ground. Close to the ground, the snow was very watery. In the morning, everything was okay up to 35°.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Beautiful winter tour for the beginning of March. Unfortunately the snow gets heavy quickly. Today we were able to ski from 1500 m to 700 m in surprisingly fresh snow. There was a big crowd and untracked terrain will be correspondingly rare.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
