Snow condition
As in the last few weeks, the snow conditions are rather modest, although it has to be said that for this time of year there is still a surprising amount of snow in the upper elevations from around 1500 meters. A descent into the valley is out of the question and it's generally only really fun above 1700 meters.
Snow quality
Today it rained below 1500 meters, generally there was very heavy wet snow further up. There are always drifts and this results in a colorful mix of firn, hard snow, ice and let's say a bit of "pow".
Risks
The upper snow cover came off very easily today and has also shifted from a small sluff to a not so small amount of snow. Caution is advised.
Overall impression
Today, with a bit of touring, we managed two quite decent runs. Only the poor visibility reduced the fun somewhat.
