Snow condition
Good in all exposures down to the valley. Anyone who knows me knows that this is not half a meter, but in the Bregenzerwald 20cm is often enough. Snow depth increasing rapidly with altitude. I was still a little disappointed, as there was a lot more new snow on my doorstep in the West Allgäu yesterday evening than 30km away as the crow flies in the Bregenzerwald. So it's 2 stars with a tendency towards 3.
Snow quality
No blower, but very good, creamy powder. From about 1200m with knee-deep powder in the turns. In between, there was brief sunshine and then it got harder on the south-facing slopes. Also, the snow cover in the south sector was still partially noticeable. Top on the north side. You could also give it 4 stars, but there is certainly room for improvement and then the ultimate increase to 5 stars. Therefore, conservatively 3 stars.
Risks
Not so critical at altitudes up to 1800m in my view. The wind was weak today, but much stronger yesterday. Further up, there's certainly a lot of snow that's been transported and covered.
Overall impression
Top day, great visibility until lunchtime, fast cool runs today. More of the same. So far, December and November have given us more of these days than the whole of last winter. We are almost spoiled and expect a steady increase. But unfortunately probably not in the next two days due to the forecast foehn storm here...
