Above 1600m there is already a decent base. Yesterday's pow was crushed by the crowds next to the secured slopes. But if you're prepared to put up with short tours, you're sure to still get some good powder.
Snow quality
Set Pow is average to ride ... but some of the grooves are really fluffy... the question is whether you want to risk it.
Risks
Some sliding snow mouths were very clearly visible. In general, the snow was extremely blown and should be treated with caution.
Overall impression
The lifts closed at around 12 noon and the snowstorm was pretty heavy. Tomorrow could be very avalanchey. There was very little off-piste skiing and even on the piste it wasn't really fun... but hey, at least the snow is coming down.
