Ski tour in the Bregenzerwald - miserable snow conditions below 1,400m and an approaching foehn storm has transported the last remnants. Hard crusts, wind slush and localized soft spots as well as lots of rock contact - simply a bit of everything.

Snow condition
General: below-average snow conditions. On the shaded side, there is a closed snow cover of approx. 0.3 m from approx. 1,400 m upwards. Below this, the meadow appears with every turn. On the sunny side, there is snow well above 2,000 m. Due to the massive influence of the wind, ridges and exposed areas are completely free. The snow depth varies greatly.
Snow quality
A bit of everything. Windswept, icy crusts, wet snow, settled fresh snow, etc.
Risks
LLB 2: Lots of snow packs and a poor connection to the old snow. The line should be selected defensively. All this is covered by fresh snow and makes assessment difficult. In many places, the fresh snow lies on warm ground and the snow cover near the ground is approx. 5 cm completely soaked.
Overall impression
Nice to have been in the snow.
