Snow report Bregenzerwald, 12/27/2014
The long-awaited snow has now arrived here. There is about 20-25 cm in the valley. Today I went on a tour between 650-1,400 m. Snow depths of up to 60-70 cm are already there.

Snow condition
The situation has improved considerably with the fresh snow. It's cool that you can now go on tours from the valley. Snow depths in the valley approx. 25 cm and at 1,400 m approx. 70 cm. Unfortunately there is no base, but the snow will settle soon.
Snow quality
Fine powder without the influence of wind, which was of the slightly damp variety at these altitudes. Good to ski, but Mrs. Holle can do even better.
Risks
No observations made. Firstly because the visibility was too poor and secondly because the terrain was mostly too flat. In very steep terrain, sliding snow slides could be an issue.
Overall impression
Nice day in a landscape covered in deep snow ... it feels like winter. Now you can avoid the Christmas rush with tours. But at the moment it's limited to the tree line. There's enough snow to be able to climb over 1,000 m. The weather remains cold and the crystal ball says that "the northern stau machine is on" (thanks Steffi).
