First real day and our first tour up here in the far north. It was extremely stormy, but at first glance there is a lot of snow and the nature is extremely wild. We still have to familiarize ourselves with the avalanche situation, but we were able to observe some medium and (very) large accumulations of drift snow, cornices and snow slabs, especially east and south-facing slopes seem to be affected. On west-facing slopes, ice as hard as an ice axe is to be expected in places, crampons are advisable.
