Exposition

Snow condition

10 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1600 m)
Descent through forest

Descents through the denser forest are no longer a problem at this altitude. So everything is absolutely sufficient for the tour. However, there is certainly still room for improvement and the snow conditions are not exceptional.

Snow quality

Powder snow

Nice powder snow 10cm on seeded powder and due to the not too low temperatures a bit gritty to ride but still great (but no blower power).

Risks

North

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

There were no signs of avalanches in the forest and hardly any wind up to 2000m in contrast to the previous snowfalls. No assessment possible further up due to poor visibility.

Nice tour in the Schmirntal will certainly remain good until it warms up. Below the tree line, where it is not yet snow-covered, in the northern sector you will certainly find the best snow at the moment. This is also best suited to the current avalanche situation. All in all, there will be 10-20cm of fresh snow on the old snow cover in the Brenner region by tomorrow. However, careful route-walking is still necessary above the tree line.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
