Snow condition
At the starting point (south side) there is no snow, after about 10 minutes of carrying the forest road still has snow throughout. South-facing meadow terrain will soon have hardly any snow below 1900m. Slightly better towards the top, but steeper south-facing slopes above 2000m will also soon be free of snow.
Snow quality
At 11/ 11:30 today we skied south/southeast on nice soft snow. For steeper lines an earlier descent doesn't hurt, flat/southwest slopes will still be good later.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
3s above 2000m due to old snow problems on all slopes except the south side - with an early start, the greatest danger on our tour today was slipping on the frozen snow surface on the ascent.
Overall impression
Since all exposures that don't get enough sun below 2200m have some nasty broken snow due to rain and the old snow problem hardly allows any worthwhile tours today, we spent the whole day in the sun and skied soft snow. Unfortunately, the south-facing routes will quickly become longer, at 15 degrees at 1500m in the sun you could watch the snow melt...
