Exposition
Snow condition
Slowly up to 1,400 m on the south side, but you can easily ascend and descend via the forest path, although you have to fasten your seat belt briefly in places. The terrain is well covered with stones and mountain pines, with stones peeking out in exposed places.
Snow quality
Sometimes you can find really good firn. On sheltered slopes, there is even some settled powder, but it is still easy to ski.
Risks
Wind intensity: Extreme (> 60 km/h)
No danger signs regarding drifting snow or similar. Greater danger is currently posed by daytime warming and the risk of falling on the hard snow surface on the ascent.
Overall impression
Beautiful day in the Gschnitztal with good firn turns. Descent from the summit (approx. 2,700 m) around 11 a.m. was good.
