Aiguilette du Lauzet
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Very good snow conditions. Ascent from le pont de l'Alpe (1700m). The Aiguilette du Lauzet (picture 1) is circumnavigated in a clockwise direction. Descent via Col de l'Aiguilette and Crete du Chardonnet northwest of the Pervou to the D1091, which leads from La Grave via the Col du Lautaret to Briancon.
Snow quality
There is mainly broken snow from 2000m upwards. Skiing is only possible in the drifts in hollows (picture 2) or on sunny slopes where the snow thaws in the early afternoon (picture 3, view of the SW run between Aiguilette and Pervou).
Risks
On the opposite slopes of the Ecrins, there have been massive snow slabs and loose snow avalanches. We did not encounter any avalanches on our way. (Quite different the following day: Terre Rouge!)
Overall impression
Very nice sunny day, but only moderately rideable broken snow.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
