The heavy precipitation in the night to Thursday mostly fell as rain below 1200m and in some places the snow line dropped below 1000m. In the Karawanken, however, there's enough snow for skiing from around 1000m upwards (unfortunately, it thaws quickly on the south side). It tends to get less towards the east. It looks similar in the Carnic mountains

On Thursday it was still great around Nassfeld with around 40 to 50cm of fresh snow, but today I was out and about in the Hochstuhl area and the snow can't get much worse. Broken harsh snow and big frozen lumps from a few wet snow slides yesterday.

Risks

Today was relatively relaxed. Most of the slopes were already unloaded and there was no significant warming during the day. However, the forecast foehn storm was already noticeable and tomorrow there will certainly be new loads.

Rather shitty conditions today but at least there was enough snow to get down without any damage. Something done for fitness but it wasn't much fun.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
