Still good for the time of year, but the warm days have left their mark. On the forest trails below 1200m, it is usually necessary to carry your skis. With the exception of the southern sides, there is still plenty of snow.

We were out quite early, but you notice the lack of radiation at night. As the temperature only drops below 0 at night above 1500m, the snow cover is generally very wet. On the north side, however, the firn is easy to ski.

Risks

Certainly not ideal due to the persistently high temperatures up to high altitudes. Some larger wet snow avalanches from the previous day were visible. For me, it was still acceptable as we were out early and only in favorable exposures.

Beautiful weather, classic Carinthian steep gullies and a reasonable approach with skis on. You couldn't wish for much more at this time of year

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
