Very good from the Titlis summit to the middle of the foliage at around 1500 meters. However, even up there you still have to watch out for stones or branches that are covered by the loose, fluffy snow that has fallen, and extreme caution is required in the lower third of the foliage. This is mainly due to short, thick branches sticking out of the snow or hidden underneath. Hooking up with skis is one thing, getting stuck is another...

Around 30 centimeters of fluffy powder fell yesterday night. That meant faceshoots en masse. The first that you could really enjoy in Engelberg this season. Let's hope that the forecast is right and that there will be more of the same. Then the lower part of the foliage will probably also be fully skiable.

Risks

The avalanche danger was not without yesterday. I let down a pretty big slab of snow in the foliage. The fresh snow had no connection with the hard base. And there were also various other slides in the terrain. SLF still reports warning level 3 - considerable and warns in particular of large accumulations of drift snow that are prone to disruption.

Wow, finally enough fresh snow and great faceshoots. The Steinberg in particular was top class. But Sulz and the upper part of the foliage were also great. If the snow cover in the lower part of the foliage gets a bit thicker, we'll probably have the first five-star day soon!
