Snow report Central Switzerland, 01/05/2016
Every day 10 centimetres of fresh snow, sometimes a meter... Things are looking up on the Titlis, and today was the first time this season that I've been in the foliage. However, you should have the old slats under your feet there.

Snow condition
The snow has fallen with the wind. Accordingly, there are very good, knee-deep places in the foliage. But then there are also nasty passages where the stones are just covered in sugar. In the lower part, which is interspersed with bushes, you have to be very careful not to get caught between two branches that are hidden just under the snow.
Snow quality
The snow quality this season has never been as good as it is today. Yes, I know. That's also possible in a hurry... The snow has settled a little and is a bit heavy. But surprisingly good for me. And all the way down to 1400 meters.
Risks
SLF reports warning level 3 and there are a few small avalanche cones in the foliage. But the slope - no wonder - is already well covered. But it certainly doesn't hurt if the snow layers are connected.
Overall impression
Is this the famous light at the end of the tunnel? Not enough for more than two stars yet. I destroyed my skis too much today. But by the end of next week there should be a lot more to come - which is still urgently needed. Let's hope that the snow line doesn't rise to at least 1500 meters as announced.
