Snow report Central Switzerland, 01/08/2017
Already quite acceptable snow conditions on the Titlis. And it will be really good by the end of the week. Freeriding and speedriding on Steinberg and Sulzli today.

Above 2000m quite ok. You have to be able to read the terrain well and drive with the handbrake off in critical areas. That way you can manage without coming into contact with stones. Below trübsee there is little snow and only 1 layer. The valley descent and pistes are perfect and open.
Snow quality
Quality 1a. Light and airy. Nothing blown away. Only a little fresh snow. Approx. 20 cm. If you apply pressure you can still feel the ground.
Risks
Considerable. But no spontaneous slides detected. Pretty safe conditions from my perspective. But that should change over the course of the week.
Overall impression
Always nice to return to Engelberg. Beautiful weather, good snow, hardly any people today and fast cable cars. And so there is still plenty to discover.book recommendation: Outdoorguide Engelbergertal. Available at www.freerideguide.ch
